Pro Staffer Curt Coleman of Coleman Game Calls with his Kentucky bird. His cameraman didn't have any issues filming this hunt. Just before they got the camera out on his morning hunt a coyote came in and Curt filled his face full of 5 shot. He shot this bird in the evening after calling him in a couple different time. He said the ole Coleman calls made this turkeys ears bleed. Pretty good day for him a yote and a bird.

Here's Pro Staffer Mitch Coleman of Coleman Game Calls and his Kentucky bird. Mitch passed this bird up the morning before because his brother Curt couldn't get on it with the camera but he scored the next morning. But again they had some camera issues and didn't get the kill on film. That's hunting with a camera though.

This was the second bird dropped on the WWIA hunt, this one was smoked by John McDaniels the founder of Wounded Warriors In Action. He was also hunting with the ole good luck charm Steve when he took this bird.

This was the first bird down on the WWIA hunt down in Kentucky. Brad Alexander smoked this one with Steve.

WWIA Hunt

Well all I can say is we had a GREAT TIME. The birds were pretty henned up and the weather wasn't the greatest but we still had some success. John (the founder or WWIA) is a 1st class man and really knows how to take care of these Purple Heart recipients, was a pleasure meeting John,Brad and Jake, and sharing camp with them and Abnaki team members Don,Mitch & Curt. Can't wait until next years trip.

Got it all on video

Opening day tomorrow

Tommy, the kids an I went up to our turkey lease, squared up with the landowner and set a blind up for tomorrow. The landowner finally let us set a blind up right where we have wanted to be the last 3 years. I was going to go and bowhunt but I just got word that Hunter is off school for spring break so he wants to go with me tomorrow. I think I'm going to leave the bow at the house and take my shotgun. I want to have the added advantage of a shotgun for Hunter's first time out turkey hunting. Wish us luck.

Turkey season opens Monday

Bossman has given me the morning off so hopefully I can find someone to video with but if not I will be sitting in a blind with a camera and a bow. Would love to get out and Chase them with a gun but if I can't find a partner its gonna be sitting in a blind. To much of a pain to self film running and gunning.

Good day to get some work done.

We are gonna spend some time with our families this morning then it is off to work on some food plots and film some more cut aways for this years dvd.  We also have to get our turkey guns sighted in and ready for April 18th.  If we have time after all of that we would like to get to do a little shed hunting.  It will a packed full afternoon but we have a lot of work to do so it will all be worth it.
